Grounding Instructions:
In order for the fence to work correctly, it is necessary that it be adequately grounded. If insufficient grounding is used, the whole system becomes less efficient. You will only get the full potential from the Starkline S1400 energizer if it is correctly grounded. We suggest you use a 3 ft-long galvanized grounding rod in addition to the included grounding/mounting rod. In conditions with particularly dry ground the current flows less easily than in wet conditions and may require the use of additional grounding rods. Additional grounding rods should be spaced 6ft apart and joined with an additional insulated ground wire.Â
