Netting posts are specifically designed to support electric fence netting, with multiple attachment points to keep the net upright and secure. Wire posts are intended for electric fence wire or tape, and most Starkline wire posts have built-in insulators, though some require separate insulators to hold the fencing material in place. Choosing the right post depends on the type of electric fencing system you plan to install.
How far apart should electric fence posts be spaced?
The ideal spacing depends on your fencing material, terrain, and application. In general, electric fence posts are commonly spaced between 3 and 6 meters apart. Uneven ground, corners, or areas with higher fence tension may require additional posts to maintain proper support and stability.
Are Starkline posts compatible with other netting brands?
No. Starkline netting fence posts are designed to work with Starkline netting. Traditional posts can work with any wire, tape, or rope. We recommend checking product specifications to ensure the best fit for your setup.
How do I drive posts into hard or rocky ground?
For compact or rocky soil, clear away loose rocks where possible and use a suitable post driver or mallet to install the posts. If the ground is extremely hard, slightly moistening the soil beforehand may make installation easier while helping achieve a secure hold.
How many posts do I need for my fence line?
The number of posts required depends on the total fence length, the spacing between posts, and the terrain. Longer fence lines and uneven landscapes generally require more posts to provide consistent support and maintain fence stability.
Do posts come with the netting or separately?
