Fitting the Fence to the Animal

So you need some electric netting but are unsure how to get started, you came to the right place.

Let us walk you step by step, through the electric net buying process. We’ll help you with everything you need, from the energizer to the accessories.

Choosing the right netting can be a long process. Making sure you have the right voltage and the right type and number of wires can help narrow down your search and provide you with the best option for your garden and or livestock. No electric fence is 100% effective 100% of the time. There are a handful of guidelines you'll need to follow when choosing the right netting.

What are you trying to keep out?

Different types of nets work for different types of species, for example, to keep a rabbit out of your garden you would need a net that is between 2-4in off the ground.

Now that you know what you are keeping out let's focus on what you are keeping in.

Livestock is generally easier to control with an electric fence than wild animals. Different type of livestock needs different things. When choosing your net you'll want to make sure you get the right kind of net for your livestock.

Taller fences for Jumping animals, and tighter fences for smaller animals.

Younger animals with lots of energy are more likely to try jumping a fence than older mature adults. If you have a more rowdy flock purchase a 48’ instead of a 35’ net.

Fences should be more visible for faster animals with poor eyesight.

This is why our netting is cyan blue. Research shows that cyan is the most visible color to all pasture animals. This way your animals will be able to see the netting and avoid getting shocked.

After you have chosen the right net for the job the next thing you'll need is to purchase the right energizer.
